Harmful Practices: A Trauma focussed Approach

Women and Girls Network (WGN) is offering a series of short courses to support Practitioners who are working directly with, or are responsible for the safeguarding of young people. As one of 9 specialist partners in the Angelou Partnership, WGN has been commissioned to deliver Violence Against Women and Girls services to the Tri-borough partnership areas of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. WGN has been providing specialist services to women and girls who have experienced violence, or who are at risk of violence for almost 30 years.

This training is available to Practitioners in the Tri-borough partnership areas only.


17th February, 9.30am-12.30pm 


Greater understanding of the global and traumatic impact of Harmful Practices on women: female genital mutilation (FGM) forced marriage (FM) and Faith based Abuse (FBA).Focuses on clinical conceptualizations including, Developmental Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex Traumatic Stress Disorder
