The forum remains popular with users offering support directly to one another and sharing relevant and useful experiences and advice on the forum.
Launched on 10th December 2009 (UN Human Rights Day), the Survivors’ Forum is hosted on Women’s Aid’s website, and provides a safe environment for women who have been, or still are, affected by domestic violence to share their experiences and both access and share support and advice.
Over the past two years the Forum has gone from strength to strength, and is becoming increasingly dynamic and popular – with over 51,614 total posts and 3,075 users offering support to one another and sharing experiences and advice.
Funds originally raised by The Body Shop specifically for the Women’s Aid Survivors’ Forum have supported the forum to date.
This year, Women's Aid will be seeking supporters to help us keep providing the service. To find out more, please contact Women's Aif fundraising team.
